"The Crane"
PatrickP , and some others, have expressed interest in this gizmo.
Figured I'd post some pics for people who might like to build something like it. Pic 1- Unloading one ton truck frame for new C-30 Chevy Pic 2- Struttin' her stuff on the back of the Oliver Pic 3- WIP front end loader Pic 4- Moving frame for front end loader using fabricated fixture Fixture has almost unlimited applications. Will balance most strange loads. Pic 5- Crane on cradle. Cradle facilitates attaching it to any tractor I own. It is at the proper height in order to attach lift arms on the 3 point. Like everything else around here, it's built for one man operation. The strength is mainly due to the strongbacks on the main mast, and the short mast. The reason the 2 strongbacks are different is because I was playin' around, and wanted to see the 2 types. The one on the main mast is my favorite. Looks professional Total lift installed on tractor is about 13 feet

Re: "The Crane"
thanks for the pictures. they really helped out. with the chain hoist being manual you don't have to worry about dragging a cord or air line around. as soon as i get time i'm gonna build one along with some other projects for my shop.

![]() The mass of the crane would help with the levelling bars. It's piqued my interest in such a way as it may well be added to my to do list.

Re: "The Crane"
Neat rig but I have a question. How do you find time to farm?
You are always buiding something with your welder. ![]() Have you given any thought to installing a hydraulic powered winch and retiring the hoist. That Oliver does have hydraulics doesn't it? ![]()
