your opinion on Hobart BetaMIG 2510 MIG Welder
Hi,I have a chance to trade my new new Chinese inverter(tig/arc/plasma) with a Hobart betamig 2510.
It's a used unit and the owner claims it is in perfect working condition,he wants a$1000 (Canadian Dollars) or trade with a tig welder, from what I have searched this welder is an older model and is no longer in production. What is your opinion on this mig welder?is it a transformer type or an inverter? Any input is appreciated. |

Re: your opinion on Hobart BetaMIG 2510 MIG Welder
we have a betamig 251 at school, been using daily for over 10 years and it just keeps on welding! had to replace a few guns in it's life and the usual upkeep but the welder is fantastic! you can't kill it! never understood the short production run of the betamigs.

Re: your opinion on Hobart BetaMIG 2510 MIG Welder
Thanks for your reply John,I,m glad it's a solid welder ,probably that's why they discontinued the production of it,in my last job we had a Hobart MIG welder that was at least 30 years old and still worked perfectly.
