Need portable ganty crane plans or ideas

I am thinking about building a gantry crane for my yard so I can pull motors and bodies off of my trucks I only deal in small trucks like rangers so I only need a max of 1000lbs do you guys have any ideas I can do the basic design just wondering if you guys have any suggestions on things to look out for

get some heavy duty pnumatic casters and bolt them on an engine hoist This is the easiest way I can think of.

Most cranes of this type scare the hell outta me. The horizontal beam has to be really horizontal. The uprights, like the Harbor Freight one, are truly scary. There's no provision for side to side sway. I suppose if you're using the thing on a really level concrete shop floor it's ok as long as you don't move the load and set up a sway.

I'm a wimp, and I don't trust 'em. I see 'em all the time, but I don't want to really stand under the damn things.

I'd like to see them built with some provision to prevent collapse from side to side movement. So shoot me
