Learning to Weld in Dallas

I just want to learn how to weld so I can create a few things floating around in my head. I don't have my equipment yet, but jsut getting some basic stuff to be able to weld sheet metal from old cars. So I need to know if there are any classes or anyone willing to help me out in the DFW area? I have a 9-5 m-f so it would be alter at night and on weekends.

My first project is just making a coffee table out of an old automobile hood. Just a simple rectangle. If you have any info that might help, please let me know

Re: Learning to Weld in Dallas

I just started a basic welding class at Eastfield Jr. College in Mesquite. There will be 12 sessions--3 on Oxy/Acetylene, 3 on SMAW, 3 on GMAW and 3 on GTAW. There are also classes at Mountain View Jr. College. Check out their websites for the next classes available.

Forgot to add that my classes are on Saturday morning but they do have a Thursday night class
