new guy

hello everyone, my name is rob, i really enjoy reading the posts and looking at the pictures. i have been welding, fabricating for over 30 yrs. welding to me is not sticking two pieces of metal together, but more of a certain kind of talent or art that is not so easily mastered. especially when lives depend on your weld. i have been in the heavy equipment industry for 27 years. like most of you here in this community, i feel that i know my trade pretty well. many times, i would have liked to give some input, or comment on some of the pictures, so now i can!

Welcome to WWF Rob, feel free to jump in anytime your ready. We can always use another opiinion and/or comment. 30 yrs should be enough experience for a learned opinion, don't you think? We like project photos, too!

Re: new guy

Hi Ya RWS WELDING and Welcome to the Welding Web Family. 30 yrs is a good standard for others to try for. As you say when you do it a living you have to do you best work or start looking for another line of work. I am sure you'll find some folks here waiting on the sidelines waiting to ask a few questions of how you made it to the 30 year mark.
