Tractor Bumper

So i finally got my dads old tractor up to the shop and decided to do a little upgrade to the front end.

nothing fancy, its 2" 3/8" steel tubing and a piece of pipe and some some angle i had laying around. i put the expanded metal just in case.

works great for knocking down tallow trees though

Rugged enough.

Are you located in the Dayton area?

Re: Tractor Bumper

Looks ready to charge it's way through the pucker brush and hard hack!
Problem: Now you have to paint that rusty hood to keep up the appearence!

Re: Tractor Bumper

That'll take out a few trees ....

Mondo nailed it: since you went ahead and painted the bumper, now you have to sand down the hood and redo it, too. After that, maybe the body ..... Cant just make one part of it look good - it's all or nothing, amigo.

Re: Tractor Bumper

That's the perfect protection for brush hogging in an overgrown area. Great radiator protection. One branch can get expensive if it pokes a hole in the radiator

Re: Tractor Bumper

Hi Guys, I am new here. I spent some time looking over some of what you guys have done recently. Pretty cool stuff. I don't want to hijack the thread but, I saw a homemade bumper and thought I could post a pic or two of one I had made for on my cub 184.

Side view.

Re: Tractor Bumper

No hijacking here, since it appears to be on the same subject. Looks pretty nice. Is the tab on the front for a ball hitch?

Re: Tractor Bumper

I added that as a "just in case" piece. You could put a ball in there or just a clevis for towing etc.
