Howdy from the Windy City

Just a brief intro. I own a small welding shop in Chicago. We specialize in tool and die repair, although with the current economy, we find ourselves looking for anywork to keep the doors open.

We specialize in Tig, although for some larger jobs we use our Mig.

Thanks to those running this forum, always nice to share info. Always better to learn up front, than to make the same mistakes others have already learned from.

Friends call me Biker, as I've been know to head out on the Harley on those days that both my customers, and weather will allow.

Hi Ya ChgoWelder and Welcome to the Welding Web family. So I take it you must do jig work in addition to the Tool & die work espcially being around the Chicago area.

Re: Howdy from the Windy City

Thanks for the Welcome.

Let me address some of the questions if I may.

Yes we also work on molds, however that business has been dying a slow death, at least at my shop. Have plenty of P20 wire on the shelf.

Yep, we also weld up jigs, heck, in today's world, I'll try welding plastic to keep the cash flow positive.

Finally, we are located on the Northwest side of the city.

Again thanks for the welcome

Biker
