Hello from OHIO

Hey guys, New to the forum and want to learn some more about welding to perfect my weak skills. My buddy taught me with a 110 mig about 2 years ago but then moved away, now i'm using my dads 220v hobart at his work for any projects i have. In total i've welded maybe 6 different times. I just love the fact though that you can make anything and do anything you want to with metal. I have some qustions so you might see some posts from me around. I mostly weld stuff for my 5.9 grand cherokee. Its good to be here!

Is your Cherokee built up? I'm a crazy avid off-road enthusiast, and drive an '88 Cherokee myself.

Welcome to the WW!

Hi Ya BuckeyeRideR and Welcome to the Welding Web Family. Yep always helps when you have a friend or relative with some skills to help you learn. For the Jeep questions your best source of replies will be in the General Welding Questions or in the Welding Projects and Pictures forums. There are plenty of members here at Welding Web that own Jeeps. I own a 91 Jeep Wrangler Renegade.

I orignally got a 93 ZJ 4.0 as my first vehicle when i turned 16 and have had it for 6 years now. I put 35k on it and learned a ton about jeeps with it. For the gist of things i put a 2" budget boost on it and 31's.

I've now upgraded to a 98 ZJ 5.9! that i plan to boost, lift 3.5", and do the works to.

Re: Hello from OHIO

hi again BuckeyeRider. Don't know if you have heard of this Jeep site but they sell alot of Jeep goodies at prices far lower than the Jeep Dealers

http://www.quadratec.com

Perhaps they can give you some good ideas for tricking out your upgraded jeep.
