rev up switch for red sa 200 1968 f163

Howdy, My dad inlaw had mounted a switch to rev up his machine for grinding. Does anyone know how to wire it for this purpose?

Also, on the reostat, what wire comes from the stat to the power plug? The center connection or outer? Thanks

Auto Idle Kits, can be purchased on www.stumpfweldingsupplies.com They also have many other replacement parts and are very knowledgeable when it comes to these machines
