tig 300 5 pin

I havn't been able to locate a remote for my older tig 300/300.
Any ideas where to get one that will work with the 5 pin
Can a newer 6 pin be adapted to the older 5 Pin
Are there after market remotes available
Thanks for any help

SSC Controls has a pedal for Lincoln machines that will most likely work. The older units I believe used a different resistance pot in the pedal than the later model ones did. Check with SSC first, they will get you on the right track. Ebay would be a place to look as well once you know what style you need.

They manufacture pedals for Lincoln, although they don't sell the same pedal on their site. They did have some pedals they manufactured for Lincoln that they didn't end up taking. These were the ones they were selling. Call & ask for Jim. Ask about the dual action pedals they made for Lincoln a couple years back. Hopefully they can help you out with one. Their prices are quite reasonable & I own two of their pedals, been very happy.

Good luck.

We do - the K772 is Lincoln's 5-pin. It's discontinued, so we're willing to sell it to those who ask. $178 plus shipping. It's a phone-in only product.

Thanks,

Jim

Cool. I would just buy one from them & be done with it. You'll probably pay at least $125 for a good one on ebay with absolutely no guarantees. You can shop around, but I'll tell you firsthand, Jim & company at SSC are top shelf & make a great product. You'll know what you have if you go with their pedal.

Good luck with it.
