New from Boise

Hey guys. I'm 22 and wanting to get into welding. I mainly want to weld some functional art or some non functional. I also have a few projects in mind when I get better. I'm purchasing an entry level welder soon and have been eyeing the hobart 500500 pretty much everyday. If there is a better machine out there for about the same price let me know! I also plan on enrolling at the community college for welding classes to make this a full time occupation.

Hi Ya Rotawee and Welcome to the Welding Web Family. You'll find plenty of art work in both the Projects forum and throughout the site. Good idea about your plan to attend community college welding classes! While in those classes you'll be exposed to various types of welding equipment and that exposure will help you decide what equipment is right for you.
