Finding serial number on 225D

Hi Everyone,

New posting on this site but long time reader. I have a question about a new to me 225 miller diesel powered welder. I'am trying to find the serial number plate on the machine cant seem to find it anywhere, any help would be appreciated because machine didn't come with any litterature included. Thanks Daniel

Miller puts the machine SN right on the faceplate.

The Only numbers i can see are the following ones JJ341602 and they do not seem to be exact to be able to find any litterature on this machine. The only info that i have correctly is the following : Miller 225 Deutz Diesel engine Model# F 1L 210D 10.2Kw Serial# 7492052

On the face plate the only thing i can read off of it is the following

Max CCV DC72
Rated volts 25
Rated Amps 200
DUTY CYCLES 100%
3000
THE REST OF THE INFO IS ALL WORN OFF THANKS DANIEL

That's the proper 'type' number. You're right though, it won't bring up a manual so double check to make sure you've got the numbers right. If they are, you may have to call Miller support to get it sorted out.

Are you sure it's not 'KJ'? 'JJ' would make it an '88 manufactured date. Too early for a Bobcat. 'KJ' pulls up this manual http://www.millerwelds.com/om/o434d_mil.pdf

Hi Duane,

Thanks for the link but that's not the same model as i have simillar instead of two levers i only have the one for ac/dc selection and a dial for the amperage selection part off it and the other difference is that i only have two power outlets both off the them beeing only 1 for 120v/30amps idle and the other one 115v/30amps full throttle, the question i have concerning power outlets can there be an option available for 220v/30amps.

That SN brings up http://www.millerwelds.com/om/o428a_mil.pdf for the Miller Legend. Not diesel though.

I'll keep looking.

I wonder if a previous owner installed the diesel?

Hi Duane,

Found out what type of machine it is. It's a 1990 miller Del200, found this info threw a search in this site someone was asking about a price value of his dad's machine and end up being a del200 deutz diesel engine and that's how i found out the after doing a search on the miller site and came up with the good model# and serial# .
