Short length storage solutions

I am in the process of reorganizing my small shop, and would like to build some small vertical racks to hold smaller pieces of stock. Small pieces such as short lengths of 1x1 sq. and 3/8" dia solid, 1"x1/8" flat stock, 1/2" tubing. Anyone have any ideas or pictures of your storage organizers?

Re: Short length storage solutions

I have two, the first one is a rack I just got at a hardware auction for $20. The stock that was in it went sky high and there was little interest in the rack. The second one I built from wire bays from a telephone company sub station they were dismantling. I have four rows wide and three deep. They are 12" wide and 4" deep with the first being 13" high, then 26" and finally 36" high. I included a drawing of what they looked like before sizing. I have pipe, flat bar, round bar, and angle. I hope this helps.

Re: Short length storage solutions

That's on my list of things to figure out too for the new shop. Used to just toss tube on one shelf , flat bar on another and solid round on a third. Not a lot of shorts over two feet. Love to see what people post.
