I looked at Chugiak on Google. It was all green, so I guess it was summer. How far from Anchorage is it? What's it like living there?

I thought you had to be 21 to live in Alaska...or, that's what my mom told me.

I read a story about a hiker being killed in Alaska a while back. He was just walking down some trail and a big kodiak or griz came running across the trail, ran into him and killed him. It didn't maul or eat the fellow...it just ran him over on its way to somewhere else. Man, imagine the luck. The guy didn't get killed by a hungry bear, entering the food chain after a mighty struggle. He just got trampled by a clumsy one by total accident. Talk about being at the wrong place at the wrong time...walking through the woods in a state twice the size of Texas and you just happend to be in the path of the ONE bear in a hurry.

GF is currently trapped in Eagle River and working at the Northway Mall.
It's been cold enough to freeze your arc in mid weld up there. Anyway may I too extend a warm welcome to the forum (California warm not Alaska warm!!)
