I can't get my thing out.....

The kid was using my Lincoln MIG Pro 175 today, he got the welding wire stuck in the liner, then he snapped off the wire (at both ends) flush with the liner...So now we can not get the wire out of the liner, I have a different liner, so i just said to put the new liner in....BUT we can not get the old liner out of the mig hose assembly, from either end...... I don't know why but it will not move at all, so now what???? I have about 6" of liner sticking out of the mig gun and it will not move, any ideas

Re: I can't get my thing out.....

up date- after freezing my ^&(*^ off (minnesota here) i was able to pull about a foot of finer out from the input feeder side, that brass cap that is on the liner end is not there. problem seems to be that the plastic coating they put on the liner is jammed (bird nest) inside the hose. will work on it tomorrow after i return from the hospital (frostbite)....

I would worry more about not getting your thing out unless it shrunk so bad due to the weather then I would have to say yo SOL.

These things spiral wound right? try unscrewing the liner, then see if your thing comes out.

You might have to bring it inside to let it warm up before it will come out. Should not be that to pull one out but I have also never had the priviledge of pulling one out with wire stuck in it . Lol

The one thing you didn't mention was how your foot was doing after you broke it off in his butt for screwing up YOUR machine then cutting both ends off. I make sure that my boys make damn sure they treat my gear with the full knowledge that it is mine and not theirs. I am quite sure the butt chewing from that one would be legendary!!

1awert1 - Are you replacing it with different liner [used], or a new one.
If new, there is an installation method that will preempt any number of
future wire feed problem. New or used? OPUS
