Newbie, Fort Worth Texas - auto fabrication
Hello -
Just joined the site - not totally new to forums in general, but new to this one. I found this site through Jody's youtube videos (Jody's right, right?) and looking for info on the everlast PP256. I've been needing a plasma cutter for light use, a new TIG welder to replace my Miller synchrowave 200 and most importantly the advantages of an inverter type machine. The Miller is up for sale as I type this, soon to be gone and replaced by some sort of inverter type machine like the Everlast PP256. The work I do is mainly 14-16g mild steel, some 14-16g aluminum. Here's a pic or two of the kind of stuff I do - all of the turbo related stuff on this car (and MANY cars like it..) |

Re: Newbie, Fort Worth Texas - auto fabrication
Yep, saw that bull **** coming!!!!!
Neverlast seems more focused on destroying the form by making it useless as a source of real information than in promoting their own rubbish from Never Never Last.

Re: Newbie, Fort Worth Texas - auto fabrication
I am going to leave those comments up. Part of the reason we sponsored this forum is to give a "place" for our customers to participate without getting attacked by the drive by's that have little interest or knowledge of our product. Or being penalized by some moderator, as was happening. The mods here on this board created their own worst nightmare by their actions. It actually works in our favor when people see the kind of rabid lunacy that people display, without any knowledge or experience, only open hatred and bigotry.
Turbo, Welcome to the world of fear mongering. Although its on our site, you can find more information over there on our forum. There are also videos from other customers that are on YouTube. (you can look under PowerMaster or PowerPro)

When I made that comment it was not in the NEVERLAST section. It was here: http://weldingweb.com/forumdisplay.php?f=29

Re: Newbie, Fort Worth Texas - auto fabrication
Before further making a bigger fool out of yourself then you already have, maybe you should research the FACTS before making ignorant statements like that.
Yes I'm calling you out! Post links to his four posts that have the NEVERLAST name in it. . And before you even go there, I do not, have not, will not, ever worked for Everlast or received anything from them to bribe me in anyway to post comments about their equipment. Were all sick and tired of the stupid *** comments from you so called professionals that have never even tried one of these machines. Put up, or SHUT UP!

Re: Newbie, Fort Worth Texas - auto fabrication
I did search his posts. Maybe you should have done the same before ONCE AGAIN making ignorant statements. Like I said, post a link. And once again, I'm calling you out on it because your claims don't exist.

Me? WTF, I'm on this site for the grand total of a week or so, and because I choose to sell my beloved Miller and get something different, I'm a troll? How exactly does that work? Re: Newbie, Fort Worth Texas - auto fabrication
Don't mind the few old guys that dominate the negativity. There are many others that are stable and helpful but do not choose to become involved in the controversy.
Weldors are gruff by nature (and apparently a bit paranoid as well). It has nothing to do with you. You just happened to step in during a major change in the direction the forum is going with sponsorships and moderating. It is in the middle of a bashing, or call it bullying, session aimed at foreign-made welders. It is more politically-based and sales-tactics oriented rather than the actual operation of the machines. The mere mention of the name of a foreign made welder will cause sparks to fly (in a manner of speaking) and all sort of unproven accusations. Many folks are quite satisfied with their foreign welders while others have had issues. No hard data on percentages of this welder needing work versus that welder regardless of country of origin so blind accusations fly at will. It will eventually die down to offhanded remarks and everyone will get back to the purpose of this forum which is to help others and suggest techniques in the finer art of welding. Anyway, welcome to the forum and hope you stick around to share your next project(s) for the rest of to enjoy and benefit. |

Re: Newbie, Fort Worth Texas - auto fabrication
Welcome aboard Turbostang,
If you have any questions, feel free to call in to the tech support crew. Sorry for all the un-qualified comments, and name calling, it's been like this for years. FYI, the last red MIG machine I looked at was made in Poland. And for your Miller comment, years ago I myself needed more power and sold mine and bought an Everlast unit before I worked for them.

"EVERLAST" is not as clever as you seem to think it is. quit sitting on your fatass trolling the Everlast forums and go do some welding. or go to facebook with all the other 13 year old sh*t talking girls.

Re: Newbie, Fort Worth Texas - auto fabrication
I am very happy with my Everlast Powertig 256 ex, and I got mine off of Craigslist from a guy that his biz went south and never got to plug it in. Everlast (Oleg, Mark and Mike) answered all of my questions about the unit before purchase at all hours of the Day and Night and weekends. I have never gotten anything free from Everlast, except great support and advice.
My Everlast Powertig 250ex works as advetised, what more could I want ![]() If this makes me a troll for Everlast, so be it. As most people in this trying economy I need to get the most out of my dollar. I searched endlessly within a 400 mile range of my home for a used Miller Dynasty 200DX and even considered the Syncrowave 250 DX, but space was an issue with the Syncro. I was a little apprehensive about the Dynasty after reading some stories about high cost repairs some exceeding $1500. The Syncro on the other hand is as solid an Anvil from everything I have read. But space was a huge issue, and still could not find a good used one in 400 miles. Thanks for the great support Oleg, Mark and Mike. Todd Turbostang, Welcome to the Forum !!! Also a fellow Texan over in Plano Last edited by TXguy; 02-08-2011 at 01:22 PM. |
