Needed to whip up something quick-this is supposed to be a recipe book holder. Its just made from some rebar I had laying around. Maybe some paint will spruce it up

Oil it with boiled linseed oil, and bake for a few hours at 350.

Nice ! Much better than a $70 bunch of roses from the florist or $50 singing teddy bear from Hallmark. Neither of which will last very long.

First off thanks for the comments fellas. Well, decided to gamble on Franz- used the Linseed oil, but since I have only used linseed oil to winterize my yard tools I decided to play it safe and 'bake' it in my my bbq just incase he was screwin with me. The finish came out pretty much like when you cure your cast iron pans with vegetable oil-PERFECT! Thanks Franz.
Now I know alot of you have grown up in a non-frying pan environment so I wont really be able to explain the look exactly. Because,she is gonna dig this and I foresee myself working on increasing my cholesterol with some high quality fried foods

If it's not cast iron then you ain't frying. Frist off, I'm single so I get to pick my cook ware. Three cast iron fry pans, two griddles and two dutch ovens. My boiling pots? Stainless. Nothing fancy, just heavy duty.
