first project
So I have been lurking around reading as much as I can. I have pissed the wife off because I will read the forum for a few hours at a time. So I got to finally got to the scrap yard and got quite a bit of steel for the welding cart and welding table. Here are a few pics of the build. It is made from 1 inch square tubing can't remember the gauge. The machine is a Lincoln 180c and straight co2.

Re: first project
Nice cart. Is that bottle of bubbly in the background for emergencies or success?

Re: first project
The welders feet are a snug fit between rails its not going any where. The happy wife happy life is the truth she actually wanted to help and she did some grinding while I cut and welded even have a picture to prove it.

Re: first project
Rick, I strongly suspect your Power MIG 180 is identical to my MIG PAK 180. I like that design, what are the dimensions of your cart? Did you do anything to secure it to the cart?

Re: first project
Hardware the 180c is the same pretty much identical other then has all aluminum wire feed block and is not a tapped machine. the dimensions on the cart are
31 1/4 " length 10 1/2' wide just enough so that the feet fit tightly in the machine. 16'' tall without wheels 20 with wheels the handle is 31 1/2 off the ground cut at a 25 degree angle |

Re: first project
Hardware tapped means you have a machine that only allows 6 voltage settings. A through F vs a continuous machine allows for infinite voltage adjustments within those ranges
Good call on face mask will be getting a couple |
