how can i tell how old my sa-200 is when the faceplate has beed changed?
after a few years of dedicated service i am looking to do some upgrades to my year unknown sa-200 and am searching for ways to tell a rough age on it.
any ideas? i am unable to locate any serial#s or plates other than an indecipherable one on the generator and clearly the plate has been changed as there are a different set of mounting holes present i do know this unit sat for over 30 years on the property the guy i purchased it from....he also told me the previous owner of the property said it was on site when HE purchased the land in the 70's. |

Find the code number on the barrel of the machine and call stumpfs. They can give you a rough estimate of the year by the code number.
