Lincoln weldpak 155 running off generator

I found a little used Lincoln weldpak 155. I know it is no longer made, replaced with the 180. The seller has a tank and cart to go with it. My biggest concern is at times I might need to use it with a generator. My generator is a Yamaha YG5200 the produces 18.8 amps and peaks at 21.7 amps 240 volts. Is this enough to run the weldpak 155? And is this welder worth owning?

Generator might be a little small. You can try it and watch the voltage and see how low it drops. Might work ok with 0.023 ans 0,030 wire. ).035 and 0.045 might draw to much current. If it doesn't work right do not keep trying to weld with it. You will over heat and could burn up either the generator or the welder

I have that same welder, and have been running it on a 30 amp breaker. I've never tripped that breaker, even using .045 flux core. But, as cc mentioned, you might be a bit on the weak side with that generator.
