New guy from Central Pennsylvania
Hello everyone....I'm glad I found this place!
I guess you could say that I'm a hobby welder. I really enjoy building things and have remodeled two homes, built model airplanes (almost since birth) and have been an active motorcyclist for 38 years. The one thing I've always wanted to do is learn to weld. My son learned how to weld in high school and we bought a Lincoln 135 but now that he's in college it was going unused. I figure that at 55 now seemed as good a time to learn to weld. I took a class called "Art Welding" at SUN Area Career and Technical Center (our local tech high school) and love it! Why did I wait this long! I've been drag racing my Harley V-Rod for two years now and my current project is a pit vehicle, a bar stool racer (www.minichoppperplans.com) that I've got almost done. After that it's on to some railings for my house, rear set foot pegs for the drag bike and who knows what!!! In the future I'd like to move up to a Millermatic DVI and maybe a TIG setup if I really get going! Sometimes I think I'm ADHD because I always have to have a project going but I'm probably not alone in this group! |
