Newbi from central Valley CA
Just a quick hello. I just bought a cheap Harbor freight 90 AMP Flux welder yesterday. I bought it after reading that it wasn't a disaster to buy and something to learn on.
I have no welding expierience except in Highschool 43 years ago with a DC stick I have done some mapp gas brazing. . I tried laying some beads on a 1/8 piece of scrap yesterday and all I was able to get were a lot of balls some welding wire sticking out and to set the torch on fire once I started to get an actual bead. The fire I blew out then had to clean the tip it works(haha) now. I came here to read, learn, and get a little advice.

Re: Newbi from central Valley CA
Thanks for the welcome.
I have changed my welder though. I am still using an HF but moved up to aDual mig 151 as the 90A just splattered. I then noticed it was AC on flux core and the flux core wire said DC EN. |
