Welding Web is #1

Congratulations all. WeldingWeb has just become the largest online community for welders and welding enthusiasts. And boy do we have a lot of them: 8,275 and counting.

It’s a credit to you, our regular members, who have made this site such a good hangout for technical help, artistic inspiration and plain fun.

To help us celebrate the moment with you, ArcOne -- producer of high-quality welding helmets -- has agreed to help us.

Please sign our “congratulations card.” Just reply to this thread. Feel free to make a few comments about WeldingWeb – how you feel about it, how it’s helped you, etc.

When you post, you’re automatically entered to win one of 2 top-of-the-line graphic, auto-darkening helmets from ArcOne. We'll announce the winners in about two weeks.

You have to add to this thread to have a chance at winning. And if you’re one of the many anonymous visitors out there who just like to read, there’s no better time to join the conversation by registering.

Thank you to all of you for making us No. 1. And thank you to ArcOne for helping us celebrate the occasion.

Hey! That's fantastic. We do have a large group of professionals and shade-trees here and have a great time, too, under the new leadership!! I've learned tons just by trying to help, and asking my own questions time and again, too!! Let's keep it up!

Congratulations Welding Web.
I never knew just how much was involved in welding until recently.
I've been welding(!?!) since I was 10 (60 now) with the carbon rod out of a battery and an electric space heater as a voltage dropper!

Well well well, what can I say. Had an...interesting past with welding web. It was the first welding community I joined, then shortly joined many others. Some time a few months later, I went off and started my own, but we can't talk about it here. ) The previous owner didn't like me having a tag line in the signature, so he deleted it. I just thought it was an error, so I put it back, he deleted it, and 'banned the crap outa me'. Other things that you guys might remember happeded shortly after that.

A few months after that, Bob contacted me over on my site, wanting to figure something out with me, and all the members of my site who had been banned. So we came back, thanks to Bob, and now everyone is a happy family again!

Thank you to Welding Web, and their Staff, and Welding Design, and the volunteers (other than TexRedNeck ) (Joking!)

The Welding Web site is second to none. One of the best I've been on and plan on coming back to daily. Lots of great folks with plenty of info on here. Each time I log on here I learn something new. Congratulations on an outstanding informative site.

This is kind of like tooting your own horn, HOWEVER congratulations to us all!
This is a very helpful site for me and helps me "Honor the people that helped me, by helping others" In the past, I have worked with small minded people that felt the act of teaching someone something you know somehow "depleted" your available knowledge, well the opposite is certainly true, I gain something every time I help someone.
A similar thing could be said about this site, Bob and his folks have taken a looser control of the reins, and helped us all by building a better place for all.
GREAT JOB!!

Nice job WeldingWeb. I've met some great folks here and have recieved nothing but excellent advise and instruction from the experts that hang out here regularly. I'm very impressed with the good nature all who post here have and hope the site continues to grow. This site is just as good as a classroom experience being that all do a great job posting pics. Thanks again.
