G'day from New Zealand

G'day, left my management job at a Scooter/ATV company a few months back to pursue my life long love of building motorcycles, cars, parts and machines, so I'm having some fun fabricating some custom stuff for a 'very' small group of customers in New Zealand. I'm sitting my TIG 6G Stainless food grade cert this week and I'm moving to the Gold Coast of Australia at the end of the month. I'm hoping to be able to be self employed in GC fabricating motorcycle bits and pieces...but most likely I'll have to go work some where else first as I'm having to sell most of my house hold stuff and machinery to move...anyone have any idea where I could go look for some welding or fab work in the Gold Coast??

Cheers for the welcome, I like the darker side of things...It's the hooligan in me...the name just seems to be a good handle it's never taken ...funny that?

I think I have seen the reaper in the Miller forum...I love the U.S. I lived in Cal. for about 4 years traveled to a few of the other states ( I liked Detroit, I'm a fan of 'Steampunk' )...I'd like to move back actually, but immigrations a little tough there if you want to work.

That link is not my work. Very cool tho! My "reaper" is a table top sized sculpture in stainless st. & hotroll sheet metal. I`ll try posting pix later.

Re: G'day from New Zealand

You could try the V8 Supercar teams, there are a bunch of them based around the Gold Coast. Yatala area, DJR, Paul Morris and for a kiwi connection, SBR.

All the best.
