syncrowave 250dx for cages and hotrod fabrication?

I am new to the tig scene ,but am wanting to do some roll cages and also other types of metals.Is the 250dx a good choice?

I don't see any problem with it. a Thermal TA-185 would do the trick for less $. A Dynasty 200 DX would be another option but around the same $ as the synch. A Synch 200 should also work nicely. If you have a used synch 250 lined up at a reasonable price go for it!

I have a 250dx TigRunner package as well as an older Syncrowave 300.

I mainly do chassis fabrication but also do production welding on mild steel, aluminum, and tool steel for rescue equipment.

I LOVE my 250 (and the 300 ). It works great for everything I've needed to do in my shop.
