I bought a chicago electric dual mig 131 a few years ago. I have a problem with the mig spool unraveling when I put a new roll of wire on it,also when I pull the trigger on the gun the mig wire roller keeps rolling and unraveling while i'm welding. Can you fix this?

Re: Mig spool unraveling :/ Please help!!
I have not see the inside of one of the HF machines but I have seen some import machines that cannot retain, that is apply enough tension to certain spool sizes to keep them from unraveling. Inspect the shaft/axle for the wire spool when you tighten it. It must apply some tension to the roll or it will birdsnest on you.

Tighten the drag on the spool.
Usually a nut or screw in the center hub of the spool axle.
