1999 F-350 Diesel 4x4

Selling the old white truck, 1999 F-350 XLT extended cab Diesel 4x4, auto trans, A/C, power windows and locks. The good, 2 new batteries, new alternator, new front pads and one new caliper, good oversize AT tires. The bad 235K miles, leaks oil, leaks tranny fluid, leaks fuel. It always starts and never left me stranded. I am asking $3500 but make me an offer or trade. No racks, or tools come with the truck.I will get a newer pic up tomorrow.

Sounds like mighty fair pricing to me.

Yes that is a real deal, the 7.3's were the best ever made and they are becoming more sought after than ever. You can find a newer 6.0 for less than some of the 7.3s out there.
You will probably sell it pretty fast, 230K is not bad for these trucks and someone will fix it up and run it another 150K.

Re: 1999 F-350 Diesel 4x4

Trucks just getting broke in, I have a 2002 excursion with 390,000 miles and a 2000 F-350 with 386,000 miles. The 99-2003.5 7.3L fords were the last great diesel pickups were going to see for a while.

If you were 3000 miles closer and not in the a rust prone region i would bring you cash tomorrow.

wrong side of the country....
Around here that would be close to a 10k dollar truck.
(everything is bigger in Texas, including diesel truck prices)

That sounds underpriced to me - if you aren't in a harry I would double that price and wait for a buyer.

Southpaw, it's in the welding rigs thread. And I think it's in its own thread somewhere also, within the last couple weeks.

Re: 1999 F-350 Diesel 4x4

That's a good price.

I just bought a 00 F250 with the 7.3, 4X4, etc and did a lot of homework. Buddy of mine works IT for one of the larger nationwide auto auctions, and looked up average wholesale prices for me on various models and that's a decent price.

And that mileage is a drop in the bucket. Most long term diesel owners I know wouldn't flinch at that if it otherwise fit the bill.
