Another one bites the dust

All:
SPAM and other pollution of this community are not being tolerated. We have banned user "Cole Matt" from membership at WeldingWeb.com -- the second such action in 12 hours.

The circumstances are this:
Cole Matt joined the community on Aug. 19 and posted 2 solicitations for goods that have nothing to do with welding. We determined that the posts were a direct violation of the WeldingWeb user agreement; were irrelevant to welding, fabrication and metalworking; added no value to the site; and were not in the spirit of this community's mission to share knowledge about welding.

We did not communicate with Cole Matt or offer any warning. The ban is permanent, based on our evaluation that Cole Matt does not appear to have joined this community with any interest that is relevant here, and has flagrantly ignored the community standards outlined in the user agreement.

It took about 36 hours to trip over these posts and take this action. I apologize for the delay.

If you have any questions or concerns about this action, please notify me directly.

Re: Another one bites the dust

I might be a good time to point out for those that are not aware, that bad posts, spam, etc. can be reported easily!

At the top of the header with the date on the left, go to the right side, first is the # of the post, besides that, a red triangle (with a 1 or an ! in it, I never figured it out)
As you mouse over it you will see it display "report bad Post" click on it and give a short story about the problem. I'm sure there were others, but I sent this one in with just the short message to "Please check this out"
This is a great place, we need to self police ourselves. (with a bit of help from BIG BROTHER)
