looking for miller 130 xp owners
i just bought a 130 xp and am having problems with the wire feed.you have to jump start the drive gear to make the trigger spin the motor.this is a 5 year old welder with 1.5 hours use and been stored the last 3 years.bought it from a friend and he said it worked well when put away.
anyone ever have this same problem with the motor.is is maybe the brushes never got broken in and a film was generated causing the brushes to have weak contact?if you jump start it and hold the trigger,it will feed all day long til you let off the trigger.hoping its not the motor, they are a couple hundred bucks.thanks, and im a new member with my first post. i live in michigan and have welded in the machine builder/tool and die trade for awhile.this is my first welder at home though.i wanted a bigger one,but the price was right at 280.00 with a purchased tank (full) and a cart with 2 spools of wire.thing looks like it just came off the shelf. |
