Question Thermal Arc, Thermal Dynamics, and Arcmaster Who???

Are these all the same machines? (Thermal Arc 185, Thermal Dynamics 185, Pro Wave 185, and Arcmaster 185)

If these are all the same machines then why so many different names? Can someone clear things up for me?

Thanks!

Thermal Arc "Arcmaster" is the newer version of the Thermal Arc "Prowave" Tig welder. Thermal Dynamics is their plasma cutter line. All the names here belong to the Thermadyne Co. http://www.thermadyne.com/thermalarc/

Re: Thermal Arc, Thermal Dynamics, and Arcmaster Who???

its just the interduction of a new modle with a few new features most will never use unless in a production inviorment. i have the pro-wave 185 tws ( i think ) i got it just befor the new modle came out about 7 months ago. it was $1750 then and now they are in the $2000 and up range. let me add this.

this is a good place to drop a link to a post i just did on the miller board about it's ground leads. they are shipped loose and need to be tightend at both ends but mostly you need to take the dins conector apart and tighten it there as mine loosend to the point of melting the wire. it finaly stopped working and gave me a help code. its a ssimple fix with a $3 part and a lil messing around.
take the time to read this post you will be glad you did.

i included pictures of the problem and the solution.
