Linking images

In some of the forums I can link images that are on my family website to show here and on other I cannot. I can post the url for the picture but I would rather not have my directory structure out there for everyone to see.
Any hints?

Like right now I cannot link an image to this post but if I go to another forum it lets me post links to my images so they show up in the thread using the [img[ tag.

Re: Linking images

Rookieweld,

Even though I'm the site director, I've not mastered all of the features as well as many of the members have.

You can post images directly into threads; use the paperclip "attach" function on the menu bar in the message box. My personal preference is to have the images directly in the message. I just find it faster and easier for viewing, though a little bit slower for downloading.

You can also link to images simply by pasting the hosted image's URL into the link box -- the globe/chain link icon.

Hope that helps.

Re: Linking images

I'll try the attach function - I like to imbed the images by using th [IMG] tag. its just cleaner and uses no system storage.

Thanks!
