Idealarc 500
Is this a good deal or not? I haven't had much experience with the 500's
http://akroncanton.craigslist.org/tls/2794562298.html Kinda makes me sick, someone had a Idealarc 250 on cl a month ago for $150.00 (round top) and I didn't jump on it. |

Re: Idealarc 500
I'd say it's a fair price if it includes the leads. Can hardly believe that big machine will run on single phase. It'll take a lot of juice from the wall to run it flat out.
If it were near me, I'd probably jump on it. Papa

Re: Idealarc 500
I would be happy with running it at 200 amps, that's plenty for me, but if it can truly run on single phase I might consider this one, it's an hour away from me. I'd have to repaint it though, I don't dig the blue.

Re: Idealarc 500
I'd buy it at that price for the hell of it!

Re: Idealarc 500
My Miller 340 goes 570A off 100A breaker, and works for "normal human" stick fine off a 50.
I'd buy it and I don't need it. |

Re: Idealarc 500
"Lincoln Ideal Arc AC Welder. Model #TM500, 220/440 amps in 146 @ 220v, 73 amps at 440v single phase, output is 500 amps at 40 volts, 60% duty cycle."
Looks like this unit draws 146 amps at 220V, single phase. |

Re: Idealarc 500
If it works as advertised, I would jump on it.
