advise on plasma

Just a thought that popped in my head. A while back I was using the plasma and I had a hole in the end of my glove and I guess I was holding the torch just right cause when I pulled the trigger it blew the fire right in the hole. Looked like my finger had been BBQed. Not to mention it hurt like . It hurt pretty bad for a few days. So make sure you don't have holes in your gloves, I didn't know I had one in mine until I arced off.

Re: advise on plasma

holy crap, that is wierd. If you werent grounded that is. Did you have your hand on the workpiece to steady it maybe? near the arc, or did it shoot up your torch hand? Glad its healing up. That stuff is Hot.

Had to have found a better path than the work piece or a really bad magnetic field caught it.

Re: advise on plasma

The plasma arcs off regardless if it's grounded or not, I just had my hand in the wrong place.
