I believe it is a BBQ pit. The kid's welding looks good, and he has some imagination creating the cops & robbers.

The BBQ Pit is amazing. Is there a thread detailing its construction, or maybe post a few more pics with some details. Thanks.

Those look really good. I especially like the smoker. The chain and horse shoes is a great idea for the handles.

Started out as a fire pit millions of years ago. Pit =hole in the ground for fire and cooking. When we moved it out of the ground and onto a trailer we just forgot to drop "pit" part.

Re: finally done with all the ffa projects

The pit looks more complicated to build than those other things. Tell those judges they have no idea what they're talking about.

the judges said there was some design problems

Did the judges say what the "design problems" were?? Didn't look to be any that I could see!! I agree---- jealousy!! Very nice job on all of their projects!!----john

Yogie, go back and look at some old threads about smokers/pits etc. These things those guys over there build are bizarre. BBQs over here are just a piece of plate or grill over a heat source. Next time I'm in the States I'm going to find someone with one of these things and talk them into having a cook-up so I can see how they work - I'll bring the beer.

Those who can't, judge those who can build great looking bbq pits. Great job!
