I have been looking into the small Migs, what do you guys think of them compared to the Millermatics? There is not much Alum up ahead so I was planning on using fluxcore or solid wire and Co2 or Co2/argon mix. And are they duel input voltage so if i stumble on some bigger stuff i can use 220v?

thanks

Never heard of a "Holbet" brand. Spelling DOES matter!

Sorry, I did mean Hobart. Only thoose I have met in the chat room really know how badly my spelling sucks. And if any mod wants to please, by all means feel free to fix that.

Steve you can get some opinions on the different hobart models at hobarts weldtalk site.I know it's a hobart site but I think they are pretty fair on their opinions.I have a 125ez that is fluxcore only and I really like it so far. This is for home and hobby use,you may want something larger. They seem to like the 140 in a 110 and the 187 in 220volt.

They make a good welder and have excellent customer support. Get as big of a welder as you can afford.

We sell and service both the Hobart and Miller brands. Hobart is an excellent value and their service is Miller's service. Any newer Hobart - Miller built - that comes to our shop we fix then and there - no questions. Miller has never questioned any repair on Miller or Hobart equipment. We don't even call them. Just repair machine and send customer on his way. Then we file warranty with Miller later. We are not able to praise Miller service too highly. That is why our rental equipment is Miller/Hobart. weldersales

So, none of them can be wired for 220v or 115v? So far they sound pretty good to me, cheaper too.
