here are some pics from a job i did thursday night, sorry no welding invloved. the gearboxes were welded in place 30 years ago so we rebuild them on site.

this is the potline. it is 1/2 mile long. there are 4 rooms just like this. there are 5 cranes per room. 1 fixed hoist, 2 ECL cranes for setting carbon and covering. 2 P&H 40 tons for tapping.

this is the end product. billet and round. we also make hdc alloyed ali, it stays in the wharehouse until shipped.

i forgot to mention, the temp on this job was 160 in the air. the pots are cooking around 1400 and the heat does rise to the rafters. coming down to the floor where it's 85 is like the north pole when you come down.
