I was having a hard time seeing with the cheaper greenish tint auto hood...the eyes are the first to go...the lincoln 4c technology is great..you get a clear picture of what you are doing without any green tint and a 2.5 cheater lens is the icing on the cake..the first picture is a combo from top to bottom of13227011322711 6011, 6013 and 7018, the second pic is 6011 and 6013..played around with different amps and ac/dc mode...lots more practice needed, but now I can see the puddle instead of a blurry glow...

Glad you can see again! I would sure like to try one of those hoods out, but I have not seen one around here yet. What did you have to give to get one?

I purchased my Viking 3350 with 4C lens from here - see link.

I haven't used it with MIG or stick. Strictly DC TIG on 304L stainless so far. The view through the lens is very clear and crisp/ sharp. I see a light blue tint through the lens with DC TIG. I tried the lens down around 10 -15 amps I could easily see ( very clear and defined) the small puddle and surrounding area.

Thanks Dan! That is a fair bit cheaper than what I was thinking. I am going to have to find one to try out.

You can use your foot pedal and you don't even have to strike a arc on the pt225, it's got hi freq for stick mode as well.

After clicking the "Buy Now" button, it adds $11.95 to the price for ground shipping. Still comes out a few dollar cheaper then what I paid. I've purchased items through weldingsupply.com a few times and had no negative issues.
