I have a thermal arc 300 gts with 14 pin receptacle for remote control and would like to know if it would be compatible with miller finger conrtol remotes? I've been told that a miller rfcs-14 foot pedal will work. thanks mark

Hey Mark.

The pin layout is the same, but the pots are different values. It may work, but I'm not sure what the effects on your welder might be. The Thermal Arc uses a straight 5k ohm pot, and I think the Miller uses a 1k ohm pot, with a couple of small capacitors between the high/low legs and the wiper. I thought about using as miller control with my 300GMS, but fabricated one using an old guitar volume pedal, a 5k ohm pot, and a 14 pin plug that ordered from SSC Controls.

good luck,

cricman

I have tried it and it works fine. The local Aircraft casting place use Miller
foot controls on their new TSW-300. I went the other way by using my Thermal
on a Dynasty 200. I could not tell that it made any difference at all.
