Not to hijack this thread but Everytime i see Ceps pictures of his welder sitting on the stack of pallets i think of a jobsite i was on last year and here are a couple of pictures of the work area built by the iron workers on the job.
. Always seemed odd that iron workers fab so much out of wood.

Wood is good. The advanced W-Fiber™ is a natural composite which is renewable, biodegradable and has a very good strength to weight ratio. It has been used in diverse applications from building homes to smoking meat in the back yard. It even has a role in military and defense. How many times has a poke in the eye with a sharp stick turned a situation around.

Of course in the metalworking trade, it's hard for a guy on the job to explain why he got splinters in his butt.

You can tell who built it by if they used nails and screws or tie wire and a few snipped off pieces of 7018 for spikes.

I was over at JAS’s Sunday, that welder really looks good:cool:. Well as long as you don’t look real close.

Well, I posted pics on the Hobart forum here of this G-213 I picked up yesterday. The internals and engine seem to be working OK Just needs a new fuel pump and the carb cleaned and I have acetone breaking the varnish loose in the bottom of the homemade stainless tank. Gravity fed it long enough to see if it welds and has AC power. Will order a new pump for it later. The Wisconsin seems to be in great shape, starts first or second pull w/ the hand crank as the batts were dead. When I get everything else fixed I plan to give it the DuPont Overhaul.

I almost think it would have been cool to have totally tricked out the inside and left the outside looking rough as hell.

Would have been a sweet sleeper :D

You did a real nice job on it Carl. I know JAS appreciated it ;)

The WeldanPower is pretty.
I love the Idealarc. You need some new faceplates. Or do you like the worn ones better?
