Bernard 4A mig gun

I have found a Bernard mig gun for sell and the guy is telling me it’s a model 4A. The gun is new with out a box. It’s priced really good. I just can’t find any information about it. The place sent me some pictures and it looks similar to a Q gun. The lead has 4A on it. Has anyone heard of or know if it is a model 4A or possibly have an idea what model family it might be from.

if it is for your miller, I don't think it will fit. The connection end looks wrong.

The power pin is a Bernard quick connector. I can either purchase an adapter block or a miller power pin and change it. My concern is not knowing any information about it like the amperage it’s rated for, what consumables it uses and etc

I think that number corresponds with the amperage rating but I can't find a conversion chart.

Thaks an Old Bernard connection on the back from before ITW bought them. You can get an adaptor to make it fit just about anything but it will likely be $60 and will make it stick out a few inches farther from the machine. It's a 400 amp gun.

Thank you Rondo for the information. Would you know if it would use the same consumables as a Q series gun and is the power pin replaceable or would it require an adapter

They have a lot of adapters. I put a miller adapter on my linde with a small modification.

It probably takes the elliptical tips. 7900 series stuff but could be wrong.
