Hey guys. Helping a friend get into a 220 mig and we cam up with a mm35. This is old enough that it doesn't have a built in power socket for the gun. It does have like a t fitting that sticks out the front of it. I'm hoping someone here is familiar with this. I want to put a newer style gun but the back end doesn't un thread to switch to a new gun. The old gun is a tweco. The T fitting has a built in gas solenoid
For some reason I can't seem to figure out how to post pictures

It surely looks to not having its Main switch, and may be old enough that the capacitor bank is bad (or at least needs to carefully be reconditioned). I suggest you go to the Miller website and download the wiring diagram to see what changes seem to have been made to it, before trying to run it.

What part of the world are you in and how did you find this machine? Is it being given away, or what?

I am in southern wisconsin. Ihave the manual. And a new switch ordered. I pulled the case and blew everything out and oiled the fan The capacitors looked ok but I did not hit them with a meter.
Welder came from a body shop. $200. It actually welds quite nicely. Sadly after I bought this a mm200 popped up for 300 and in nice shape :( this welder is for a friend of mine. I myself have a mm200 from the 80s. Jk serial. And a Panasonic gunslinger that came from a local highschool this i haven't tried yet

welder has a tweco gun adapter on the front. so you can use any #2 tweco power pin miggun. only weak point is the transformer lugs on the back of the yellow receptacles.
If the receptacles loosen up and move , you move the lug and they loosen up on the soild wire. easy fix is to just solder them with silver solder or regular solder. Rosin core.

I think you loosen the bent bolt & the gun pin comes out - correct?
I'm that old. I think there is a pin knob that you pull to get the gun out and the bent bolt releases the adapter from the machine. Been a while.
