Any opinions on this welder? Just another multi process welder but they're sure offering some good deals! Makes me really think about it when you can have a lot of options when my Miller 211 only has a few and cost me a small investment... Appreciate all your opinions, thanks!
I know it's another offshore welder, but they're really start to tease me with all the available options, at a great price too.

Arccaptain has really been throwing out the multi-process machines this past year. Personally, I have to think twice about having all my machines in one box. I wonder if one function fails does the whole machine go down? Might be alright if you have a tiny work area? I am, however, skeptacle of that strategy. Another thing that annoys me is everything having phone control. I suppose it's handy for a few guys... but I'd rather not have to pay for something I would never use. It's all about marketing.

My skeptacism aside... I bought an Arccaptain TIG 200P AC/DC (Dec 2023). It has all the functions of machines costing three times as much. And a 5 year warranty! I don't use it a lot but it has been fun and works well. Seems ike I do a lot of small / weird stuff.

After a year of monitoring the Arccaptain facebook page I will offer my opinion... Generally it seems like folks are happy with their machine. The MIG units are very popular. There are a few reports (of course) from dissatisfied customers. CUSTOMER SERVICE: It's all in China. Communications can be slow, or at the least lag by about 12 hour (USA). I'm not impressed but I also haven't had any problem. If you need some part it might take a while to get it?? ArcC ships from a California warehouse BUT... Order from Amazon and it's faster AND you can send it back if it doesn't work.

Options... Check out Yeswelder (I don't know much about them but seems popular). Primeweld... I read they are good and have US customer service.

The Arccaptain TIG200P apparently also now has the ability to use it for Oxy/Acetylene !! (according to the webpage photo).

And if you are having problems with the name? Could have been SparkMaster, or Elephant Brand.

ArcC claimed months ago that they were working on service centers for the USA but I suspect they are consumed with the marketing blitz for new products... that aren't even on the market yet.

And as far as a following... They started a Kickstarter for the new machine and raised $120K in 24 hours. And that is at $50 a pledge. someone out there likes them.

Phone apps for controlling a welder? Really, well I guess not, I bought the wife a robot vacuum that requires a WIFI connection and requires a SECURE password for the vacuum, you know the kind, at l8-50 characters and at least one capital letter, one lowercase letter, one numeric and one special character for a freakin vacuum, talk about BOVINE EXCREMENT!

Remember when that was the water cooler joke.... "someday your fridge will be on the internet"

Now it's all a reality.
although most of it is unnecessary.
you really need an app to turn on a light? Get yer fat azz off the couch and flip the light switch...

"The Clapper" was ahead of it's time.

If you like throw away welders, buy any cheap Chinese crap they offer.

For working a job or business, I buy for quality. But people just buying to kick around at home have many options.

A lot of people like throw away welders, everyone is entitled to waste money any way they want ;)

i have an arccaptain stick welder. i bought it on amazon for peanuts, like 135.00. i fully expected to be sending it back a day later, but its been terrific. not super great with 6010, but not horrible either. not too many inverter welders are, you just have to be on your game. . 6011, burns like butter. runs 1/8 7018 like its nothing. hot start, dig, its been great. ive been pretty tough on it, hasnt failed. i would for sure buy from them again. quite frankly, for what i need, i will never buy big red or blue. their replacement pcb boards that go bad regularly cost the price of 5 or more arccaptains. the welders themselves, you can buy 25 or more arc captains. keep em coming. buy what you want on amazon, they take back anything if you are unhappy with it. not sure what you mean by multiprocess. those are usually stick/tig. some even mig. if you want tig, it probably wont have AC for aluminum. you think you wont need it, but when you have it, you will be surprised how much alum there is to repair. scratch tig not so good. need a pedal, especially for aluminum. also, i hate tig with the knob on the handle to turn on and off the gas flow. mostly wastes a lot of gas. post exactly what model you are looking at. i just looked up a couple. they have them on temu for 350 bucks. lift tig though. i had a lift tig for first tig welder, out grew it very quickly.

Not necessarily. It depends on the vendor and the reason.

They will accept the return if the product is faulty or misrepresented in the ad.

You have to read the fine print. There is a limit for the return and you may or may not have to pay for return shipping.
