Can we start a CL sticky thread just for the ridiculous ones?

    Would be quite entertaining.

It would be better to post a snippet and pic, as all these CL links will disappear shortly.

Why would someone sell a machine with 'less than 10 minutes of use'? Did they really not think it through when they bought it? Or maybe they paid too much for it at an auction and are trying to get their money back.

    Crazy people out there.

You can use a welder 20 years and it's still worth 300 less than retail for a late model.

That 1st one is a diesel however. Price out the difference between say a diesel and gas Bobcat or Trailblazer. Make sure you are sitting down when you do. I'm not saying the price is reasonable, but the diesel part at least makes it somewhat understandable.

I understand Snap On welders are nice, but why would anyone pay $2900 new for a 120 volt mig machine? This poor guy was trying to sell this in 2011 when I bought my bought my Hobart new, I remember looking for used units, seeing this and being like "WTF?" when I was like in highschool

    It's a "Snap-On" thing, you wouldn't understand.
Just kidding Lanse, yea it's crazy. SO welders sell, or are at least adverstised, for 2-3x what similar models of name brand welders are, at least here.

    I saw a really dinged-up Campbell-Hausfeld 80A mig welder for $100., maybe a bit more.

He had it listed on ebay for the $5650 Buy it Now. The bids only made it to $3100. He might get the clue from that.
