The blade doesn't go any further into the jig than it shows in the pic, I have a stop set up, the piece of square bar is used for a stop for the 3/4 picket, the stop is welded to the square tubing that's in the clamp

Haha that'd be quite a sight in the morning, this house is right on the ocean front so I domt think they'll have too much deer problems

    Thanks!

It took a bit of figuring to get it right, every once in a while one of the pieces gets too much cut off, leaving the spike a little lopsided, but it's mostly accurate

Well took a break from the digging job I was on yesterday and did another rail today

This railing had been hit and repaired at least half a dozen times by someone else with a couple of pet pidgeons as helpers....

At least the truck hits were more or less straight on... well except for the ballusters on the side wall and it had quite a few blowouts in the concrete as well

To make matters worse whoever/whatever welded it before really blobbed it in there and left holes all over the place!!!

And.... on top of that someone put some braze on a few joints....

Once I got all the cutting and bending sorted for the most part.... I went ahead and started on the side wall of the landing by putting a new corner post in.

    and a close up

This is a close up of the weld next to the building that holds the sidewall to the landing, I upped my settings so the flux would come off easier

After that it was just a matter of stretching the step rail back into place and cutting in a few new sections.

And then to finish it off all that had to be done was a bit of concrete patching.

Nice fix ronsii. Are you restricted to 110 volts?

Lately I been running 220 off my 17.5kw genset in the truck. Got a couple 50 foot 8ga. extensions for it to run the little MM211 when I need more portable I go 110 with regular 100/200 foot extension cords. I really like the dual voltage feature on these welders just make them so handy!!!!
