Just looking at the first two pix alone, I thought maybe it was supposed to be a door frame spreader. I was gonna suggest just trim off the edge of the door some to make it fit, rather than wedge the door frame apart.

you may consider using set screws to clamp on the tube joint in the middle... id hate to slip up and jam one of those bolt heads into my face...

Moto your work was good bud, but im not a fan of your design. And it looks like its pulling out of the wall on the left side. And dont post pictures in your pajamas struggling with a one arm pull up lol

TEACH that's a good idea ill get a couple thanks. MIKE that thing ain't going anywhere once I lock it in. I'm gona pad the back side with soft stuff. Lol ya it was a hard one. I'm gona add some posts for dips and put a balls on the ends. I'm thinking about 6-8 inches long hopefully it wont put to much leverage that it pulls from the wall but I don't think it will. I'm 200lbs and it was no sweat for it

Re: Show us what you welded today!

I can't show off any pretty welds, but this is my project for the day. Got a cart for new tig welder and supplies, had to fabricate a tank holder. Used old bed frame for the bottom support, welded up quick with my hf mig welder and flux core steel wire. The center support goes under the cart for cantilever support...no sag at all with tank on it. For the top tank restraint, I bent some 3/8" rod with 90 degree down legs which slide into 2 holes drilled into the top of the cart. They extend 4" down into the cart, so there's no chance of slipping out. Fun little project. Now I gotta start on a welding table. I have plenty of material for the frame, but need to find a local source for the top....3/8" thick at least. Any ideas where to buy in Cincinnati Ohio? Thanks for looking and any suggestions.Name: CAM00024.jpg

Most likely not. Not sure why I would need to? Shouldn't rust and its clean so I don't think my hands will get dirty. I think I would just rub off any paint.

Made some load beams for a 600k lb rigging load tester.

8"x8"x1/2" square tube with 1/2" end plates and 5/8" cold rolled handles.

Ran 2 passes, a root and a weave cover with short circuit MIG. .035" 70s-6 and C25.

Thanks. A lot of it is just finding a good comfort level with the machine. I like 200hz for outside corner joints on the AHP, but don't like 200hz on any other machine I've used.
Too bad not all my welds would be this nice.

You'd be surprised just how corrosive your handprints can be. Raw steel will certainly rust and if you want the color effect, spray it clear. You'll thank me later.(or cuss yourself if you leave it)
