Miller 211 Dualshield Fun Pt. 2

Heres a follow up to my other thread on running the miller 211 with dualshield. This time it is with .035 lincoln 71m dualshield. Im surprised on how well this machine will run it. Hot and smooth, it has that nice dualshield buzz. I was at the upper end on this machine.

    Material
    1/4'' a36 hot rolled steel
    Lincoln outershield .035
    75/25 gas set at 30cfh
    Miller 211 on 230 volts

The wire fresh out of the box

Welded flat slag not chipped. I found HEAT- 8 and WIRESPEED- 85 ran nice and smooth

    Slag chipped

    Lap joint welded flat

Now the fun, the vertical up. Runs nice and smooth. I knocked the heat down alittle.
    Stringer, slag not chipped

    Stringer

    Weave, Slag not chipped

    Weave

In the end, i think it does run smoother on this machine with the .035 vs the .045 esab

I love running dual shield wire. We run MO-10 inconel dual shield wire in the boilers around here. I love doing a 6 foot seem in one shot and flipping up my hood and seeing the slag curl like a banana peel.

I'm trying to get away from using gas, so I started using self shielded wire. But man, that stuff REALLY looks nice.
