No ignition spark on Sa 200

It's a '79 Sa 200 with distributor, not magneto. It had been running fine, then a couple weeks later I tried to start it and it turns over, but no spark. I replaced ignition coil and still no spark. I pulled spark plug wire and grounded it and no spark. I cleaned cap and rotor. Any ideas on this

Check the point see may needs adjustment and or filing

Thanks for the quick response, but this one does not have points.

It either has points or it has electronics simulating points such as Pertronics.

Grab your 12 volt test light, attach one lead to the wire coming from distributor to coil - after disconnecting from the coil and the other end to + battery.
Turn the machine over and determine if the light comes on and off.
If it does the issue is either coil or high voltage side of the distributor.
If it doesn't the issue is points or electronic substitute for the points.

It would same spot I read some will a electric eye for pickup or may be a electron board and still may have some type of points
This typically where I find the problem it sound to new to a coil but to test the coil hock up plug to high voltage side and active the coil
