The breaker is sized to protect the wire, not what is plugged in to it. If you need 60 amps, just be sure the conductors will supply it (typically #6 copper, or others by different schedules in the code book). If you question pertains to safety, make sure it's #6 copper. If it pertains to "will this work" then yes, a 60 mp breaker will prevent false trips on startup. If your supply wire is #8 copper, I'd rather leave it breakered at 50 and see if it actually ever trips before I just jumped to a code violation.
