    Multimatic 215 Multiprocess Welder Consumables

I'm a rookie welder and just bought a new to me 215 (it had 40 min. run time on it and TIG kit). I'm still working on MIG. Will try TIG later once my tool budget recovers a bit. My previous welder was a Lincoln 180HD and I could pick up consumables at Home Depot. I see many online welding suppliers but was wondering where do most buy their supplies. I also see some highly discounted components on Amazon and EBAY but don't know if they are worth the savings?

    Thanks,
    Mike

Miller4less or USAwelds. You want a quality consumable. Theres also an ebay guy 17000 99% positives, free shipping,https://www.ebay.com/itm/10-Mig-Weld...from=R40&rt=nc NO BS dealing 'tard depot and driving/parking. I buy everything online thats under 10 lbs or so, even when I lived in the Empire. if by "consumables you mean wires and electrodes you're better off local.

    Thanks for the links.

Bonzoo - are you in Rio? Few years back I made a few road trips to Rio for sea trials of some engines we installed on some anchor hauling vessels (four 6,000HP engines each). We shacked up in Niteroi and ate quite a few meals in an area I believe called San Francisco? Beautiful place!

I live just outside the Chicago area so I need to look for one closer to me. Airgas is close to my work but they are pretty expensive and really not friendly to small time buyers. I did find a place that has good prices and good people but it's about 40 minute trip from work.

    That sucks about your Airgas.

Luckily the one near me is cool.

Outside chicago is a big area with lots of good places to buy from there a pretty typical part I don't mig much but the cheap tig collets and Collet bodies most discount sellers have are worthless spend the money on good ones

Lots of farm and ranch stores carry tips and wire, ive even seen some welding stuff in a few walmarts but limited there on what they carry.

I run lots of hobart wire because big spools are in farm and ranch.
Been buying 7018 rod at harbor freight.

I travel all over and am always keeping an eye out on where stuffs at
