    No but I put the machine back together anyway. When the copper plates don't touch it moves very easily. But when they touch it gets hard to turn. I did clean and grease them well so I think thats how its supposed to be. Does yours not turn hard?

    it turns a little hard, like you described, but I don't need two hands or anything like that. You can tell the fingers are making good contact
